Today, for the first time since early April, I strapped my Fitbit onto my wrist and went out for a walk along the Trans Canada Trail. I didn’t break any records, but I did get a 2km walk in. It’s a good start.
When I was off sick for a couple of months, I had great intentions to get out for walks. However it rained almost every day this spring. When the sun finally came out, I ventured along the trail for a 20 minute walk. I came home and felt very weak and shaky.
So getting out today for a good walk, and not feeling weak or shaky afterwards, means that I am much stronger than I was. Although I still have a way to go, I feel I am getting stronger each week. I plan on enjoying my walks with my Fitbit for the rest of the summer.
